"My daughter was born with dry skin like a snake. We have tried so many different cleansers, but this is the first one that has actually helped her cure her dry skin. Thank you."
-Brandy

This formula is made with 85% organic, cold-pressed oils, which help to nourish and moisturize your baby's skin while cleansing it. Our innovative oil-based cleanser transforms from a balm to a cleansing milk when it comes into contact with water. This cleansing milk then transforms the bath water into a nourishing vegan milk bath, which further moisturizes your baby's skin. After bathtime, your baby's skin will feel soft and smooth.

Here are the simple steps to use our baby wash:

Step 1: Massage the balm cleanser onto your baby's dry skin. During the massage, some oils will absorb into your baby's skin to help moisturize and hydrate it.

Step 2: Place your baby in the bathwater. The balm cleanser will transform into a cleansing milk, and the bathwater will transform into a milk bath. Your baby's skin will continue to be moisturized by the milky bathwater while they relax in the bathtub.

Step 3: Dry your clean and moisturized baby.

Our Lullaby oil-based cleanser does not dry the skin like foamy bath washes because it does not strip the skin of its natural oils. Instead, it adds organic oils to the skin while it is wet, which helps it better absorb the oils it needs to stay hydrated and moisturized.

how to use

our minimalist approach to baby skincare

Less is more when it comes to baby skincare products. When babies are born, they leave a moist and near sterile environment, the womb, and enter a dry, microbiome-rich environment. As a result, baby’s skin chemistry changes during the first three months. Their skin barrier, pH, microbiome, and permeability are rapidly maturing.

Lullaby is the only skincare product we recommend for babies under three months. This baby wash moisturizes the skin during the bath, so no additional moisturizers are needed after the bath.  Baby skin is free to develop as nature intended. Lullaby is safe to use on baby acne and cradle cap (see FAQ).

founder's story

Shelly wanted to uncover the root cause of her son's eczema and find long-term solutions for his senstive skin. Along with diet and lifestyle changes, she learned that making skincare products that support the skin microbiome helped her son achieve lasting relief.

Eight years later, when Shelly had her last baby, she was determined to help her avoid eczema and other sensitive skin ailments. Again, the solution was using microbiome-friendly skincare. Developing a heathy skin microbiome from the start would help her develop resilient skin for years to come.

Shelly formulates with a mother's care and a chemical engineer's expertise. All Kiss Kiss Goodnight products use a combination of plant-based ingredients that families around the world have trusted for generations and innovative, science-backed ingredients.

FAQs

Is Lullaby tear-free?

Lullaby will not sting your little one's eyes. It contains no soaps or harsh surfactants.

Can Lullaby be used as a shampoo/conditioner?

You can use Lullaby on the hair. However, since the balm is oil-based, it may leave a slight oily residue on the hair, which may be difficult to rinse. If you use the balm on the hair, rinse well with running water.

How often should I use Lullaby to bathe my baby?

Babies usually need 1-2 sponge or full submersion tub/sink baths a week. Clean areas like the face, neck, and diaper area more frequently and as needed. You can spot-clean your baby by massaging Lullaby on the "dirty area" and wiping with a damp washcloth.

What is the difference between the Lullaby Melting Balm Baby Wash and Prebiotic Bath Jellies?

The Lullaby baby wash and jellies are suds-free, oil-based cleansers that transform into milky cleansers in water. The Lullaby baby wash was formulated for babies under one in mind.  The jellies are more interactive, and toddlers will enjoy applying them to their skin and watching the bright-colored jelly transform into a white milky cleanser.

Can you use Lullaby as a leave-on moisturizer?

Lullaby contains oils that are great for the skin. Since it may be too sticky,  mix it with water or your favorite lotion/oil and apply it to your skin for extra moisturization.

Can Lullaby be used on sensitive and eczema-prone skin?

Our Lullaby is safe on sensitive and eczema-prone skin. The cleansers clean the skin without drying it and damaging the skin microbiome.  A healthy skin microbiome is needed for healthy and resilient skin.

Can I use Lullaby on baby ance?

Baby acne is a normal occurrence in newborns. No treatment is usually needed, and it will resolve in 2-4 weeks. Bathe baby as suggested 1-2 times a week; no additional cleansing or moisturization is needed.

This is not medical advice. Please talk to your pediatrician if you have concerns.

Is Lullaby safe for cradle cap?

Cradle cap is caused by a yeast on the scalp. Baby's microbiome is still evolving and this issue should resolve on its own within a few weeks to months.

You can gently massage Lullaby baby wash on the affected scalp area and comb through with a fine tooth comb or cradle cap brush to remove excess skin cells. Stop if you see any redness or irritation on the skin. You may need to do this several times over the course of weeks to remove the excess skin cells.

This is not medical advice. Please talk to your pediatrician if you have concerns.
