Pracaxi oil has been used for centuries in the Amazon for its rejuvenating properties. It has been used topically on wounds, cuts, and skin irritations. It is popular for its inflammatory effect on insect bits and stings. In regards to personal care, it has been used in hair care to enhance shine, manage frizz, and overall hair nourishment. The Amazonians also employed pracaxi oil to improve skin elasticity and manage scars like stretch marks. 

A 2014 clinical study sites pracaxi oil and its benefits in scar and wound therapy, including diaper rash management. Patients in the study rated their treatment with pracaxi oil with a mean score of 10 in a scale of 1 to 10.

It has a warm chocolate and vanilla-like aroma from the cupuacu butter and vanilla extract.
