From commercial products to plant-based skincare

While Shelly’s job largely involved creating commercial products, her passion was making plant-based skincare at home for her children. Before formulating, she learned about the unique chemistry of baby's skin. During her research, she noticed a disconnect between scientific research on how we should cleanse and care for baby’s skin and society’s current standards. This disconnect is leading to an increase in sensitive skin and skin ailments like eczema.

Kiss Kiss Goodnight’s baby essentials are specifically formulated with the baby skin’s pH, lipid barrier and microbiome in mind. All the products have organic, wildcrafted, cold-pressed oils and butters rich in omega 3, 6 and 9, vitamins, antioxidants, and other phytonutrients to feed and protect the most sensitive skin.

Shelly wants to give mommas the peace of mind that comes from knowing they’re using pure, gentle, and natural products on their children -- the same kind of feeling she knows her mother had when Shelly was a baby in her native Trinidad and Tobago with her homemade coconut oil massages.

Through the company, Shelly plans to give mommas a way to treat themselves, to wind down their own day using the same gentle care they show their children. And she plans to extend that gentle love and nurture around the world.
