She’s the founder and formulator of Kiss Kiss Goodnight’s products.
Kiss Kiss Goodnight is the product line that Shelly wishes existed when her older children were babies.
With the creation of Kiss Kiss Goodnight, Shelly aims to nurture those sweet, quiet moments that happen at the end of the day. She’s been a stay-at-home-mom, a work-from-home mom, a student mom, a corporate mom and an entrepreneurial mom and she knows the common thread-- the deep need to find time to relax.
Shelly holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Maryland. She’s also a graduate of Formula Botanica’s organic skincare entrepreneur program.
She has worked as a process engineer in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries, working on products from teeth-whitening strips to lipsticks to the world’s most loved vanilla spices.
While Shelly’s job largely involved creating commercial products, her passion was making plant-based skincare at home for her children. Before formulating, she learned about the unique chemistry of baby's skin. During her research, she noticed a disconnect between scientific research on how we should cleanse and care for baby’s skin and society’s current standards. This disconnect is leading to an increase in sensitive skin and skin ailments like eczema.
Kiss Kiss Goodnight’s baby essentials are specifically formulated with the baby skin’s pH, lipid barrier and microbiome in mind. All the products have organic, wildcrafted, cold-pressed oils and butters rich in omega 3, 6 and 9, vitamins, antioxidants, and other phytonutrients to feed and protect the most sensitive skin.
it’s a way to support mothers everywhere.
